pine tar／松焦油
松焦油在大聯盟不特別，主要是打者使用，握棒時保有一定黏性增加掌握力，但投手禁止使用，前天使休息室經理哈金斯(Brian Harkins)去年3月因提供非法物質給投手被開除。前天使終結者派瑟佛(Troy Percival)承認曾指導哈金斯如何利用松焦油與松香製作混合物，因為在亞利桑那春訓太乾燥，會導致棒球表面太滑。(Percival, the Angels closer from 1995 to 2004, acknowledged in September that he taught Harkins how to make the mixture of pine tar and rosin in spring training “mostly because it was so dry in Arizona and the balls were so slick out there.”)
