S: Simon B: Betty
Two weeks later, Simon and Betty are talking about the new office manager.
S: I can’t believe the CEO picked Nelson to be the office manager.
B: I know! It’s so unfair.
S: I agree. But, he’s been here a lot longer than both of us.
B: That might be true, but I don’t think his marketing proposal was very good. Yours was way better, in my opinion.
S: You really think so?
B: Yeah. After your presentation, I fully expected the boss to pick you for the position.
兩週後，賽門和貝蒂在討論新的辦公室經理。
賽 門：我不敢相信執行長會選尼爾森作為辦公室經理。
貝 蒂：就是說啊！真不公平。
賽 門：我同意。不過，他比我們兩個待得要久多了。
貝 蒂：也許是這樣沒錯，但我覺得他的行銷企劃不是很好。我覺得你的更好。
賽 門：妳真的這樣覺得嗎？
貝 蒂：對啊。你報告完後，我完全預期老闆會選你接任那個職位。
