Handy, Dandy Dandelions
輕盈的多功能花朵 ── 蒲公英
To some, they are nothing more than a common weed. The moment many people see the bright yellow petals on their front lawn, they pull them up out of the ground. However, dandelions are so much more than weeds.
What exactly does “dandelion” mean? It actually comes from the French phrase dent de lion, which means “lion’s tooth.” This refers to the petals, which look pointed and sharp. Aside from their proper name, dandelions also go by many nicknames.
對某些人來說，它們只是一種常見的雜草。許多人一看見前院草坪裡蒲公英的鮮黃色花瓣，就會立刻把它們從地上拔起。然而，蒲公英可遠遠不只是雜草。
