The Legend of the Blarney Stone
巧言石傳奇
There’s a rock in Ireland that is truly popular and unique. For proof, just look at the long lines of people waiting to give the stone a great, big kiss. The rock is called the Blarney Stone. Legend has it that one kiss will give a person good luck and make them a smooth talker.
The Blarney Stone is a piece of limestone built into Blarney Castle in Ireland. According to legend, the castle’s builder, Cormac MacCarthy, was caught up in a trial in the 15th century.
在愛爾蘭有塊獨一無二，非常受歡迎的石頭。若要證明，只要看看為了給這塊石頭用力地來個大大的吻而大排長龍的人們便能明瞭。這塊石頭被稱為巧言石。傳說中只要親一下，就能讓人吉星高照並變得口若懸河。
