德州韋科市（Waco, Texas）一名牙醫師Steve Cutbirth上週日在巴哈馬（Bahamas）遭鯊魚攻擊，現正恢復中。

但是Cutbirth不但沒有嚇得尿褲子，還勇敢猛擊鯊魚的頭。
鯊魚雖一時被擊退，但馬上又回來攻擊，這次牠咬住了Cutbirth的腿。幸好，Cutbirth踢了牠的頭，隨即浮出水面。
糟的是，在那座小島上，沒有醫師可以為他療傷。
但幸好Cutbirth本人已有許多手術經驗，更有那鋼鐵般的意志。他指導一名沒有治療鯊魚咬傷經驗的當地護士，幫他縫合傷口。
他共被縫了30針，然後還決定繼續度假。
至於那公牛鯊，Cutbirth並不怪牠。他向當地媒體表示，鯊魚只是做出自然反應而已。

Waco, Texas dentist Dr. Steve Cutbirth is recovering from a shark attack that took place while he was vacationing in the Bahamas over the weekend.
The 62-year-old was spear fishing underwater with his son-in-law and some local guides when he nabbed a hogfish.
However, said fish was also the target of a 6-foot bull shark, which crashed into Cutbirth as he tried to surface.
The next thing a dazed Cutbirth saw was the bull shark coming at him, mouth wide open and plenty of teeth showing.
But where most would piss themselves, Cutbirth managed to strike the beast on the head.
Down but not out, the shark came back for more, this time going for Cutbirth's leg. Luckily he managed kick it in the head and escape to the surface.
To make matters worse, there was no doctor on the island to treat his injuries.
But Cutbirth, being a man with plentiful surgical experience and, not to mention balls of steel guided a local nurse who had never treated a shark bite before through the procedure.
He received 30 stitches in total and decided to continue on with his vacation.
As for the bull shark, well Cutbirth doesn't blame it for the attack, telling a local news outlet that the shark was just doing what came naturally to it.
