A Facebook group in Australia, Cat Busters, is letting their message be known to cat owners: keep your precious kitties inside, or they may end up like this.
The group claims its cat killing practices are justified because feral cats disrupt biodiversity by killing native species of reptiles, birds, and mammals, a claim the local RSPCA concedes is true.
To combat the cat problem, Cat Busters issued a letter to pet owners warning that if they don’t take the responsibility of keeping their cats housebound, their pets may end up trapped, and/or dead.
Cat Busters has taken it upon themselves to set up cat traps around their neighborhoods.
For those who don’t heed their warnings, they’ve begun posting the photos to show they’re not kidding around.
While Cat Busters claims its doing its part to protect the delicate balance of nature, many others on social media aren’t buying it.
And who could blame them. Based on some of the photos on the page, it seems like these people are in it for more than just a public service to regulate the feral cat problem.
Like this one that says “SAVE AUSTRALIAN WILDLIFE - GO HOME AND SHOOT YOUR CAT.”
Yeah, really feels like their hearts are in the right place.
