Two Chinese airline passengers got an unexpected Valentine’s Day surprise when their flight from Chongqing to Hangzhou was cancelled.
After their flight was grounded by bad weather late on Feb. 14, Hainan Airlines told the women not to worry.
The airline had booked them into free overnight accommodation and they could catch their flight the next day.
So what better lodgings to book for two single, unmarried women than an S&M dungeon in a love hotel?
The women, who are friends — but not like that — posted photos of the unnamed hotel to social media.
And it seems they got the pick of the rooms.
This 50 Shades of Gray style-suite was pimped out with everything you’d expect to find in a room catering to the modern traveler.
There’s air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, a sex chair … err … yeah … a sex chair.
And oh, what’s this? Chains and handcuffs? That could be pretty useful if your roommate sleepwalks.
Nice circular bed too. You know how hard it can be to get a good night’s sleep on a bed with straight edges.
Posting on microblogging site Weibo, the women joked about the room being “a small Valentine’s surprise”.
According to reports, Hainan Airlines apologized for the mistake but said accommodation was hard to find that night.
Thousands of travelers were stranded on Sunday as snowstorms hit Chongqing.
The airline also said it did not check the interior design of the room.
So is staying in a sex dungeon really so bad after all?
Surely it was better than sleeping at the airport?
