英文原文:
57-year-old Alaskan Thea Thomas was hiking with her dogs along the Heney Ridge Trail in Cordova, a place that’s pretty much people-free.
All of a sudden, her dogs ran back to her from where they’d been playing, but the dogs were no longer in the mood to play
Hot on the dogs’ heels was a 6 or 7 foot tall bear who for some reason found the hiker a threat, and attacked.
Taking as many as 7 bites out of Ms. Thomas, the bear finally left her for dead, but Thea Thomas decided to die another day. She bravely limped her way well over a mile back to her truck, before driving into town where she was then airlifted to a hospital in Anchorage.
Thomas says she did of course contemplate the idea that she might not make it, but she told herself ‘just keep walking.’ She made it, and now this tough wilderness lover can add ‘bear fighter’ to her resume.
