TomoNews頻道2014年5月16日訊－2014年5月1日凌晨12點半左右，兩名吸食快克古柯鹼（Crack）的搶匪，試圖打劫密西根州安娜堡（Ann Arbor, Michigan）一家Speedway便利商店。
這對搶匪Frederick Coble跟他女友Christina Maria Borcea隨後被警方逮捕。
他們向警方供稱，自己在犯案前喝了酒，並吸食快克。
他們走進商店，原本想偷香菸。他們進門時，店員正在櫃檯後面的冰櫃處。
於是這對情侶立刻開始偷各牌香菸。店員發現可疑走過來時，他們假裝自己會付錢購買。
但結帳時，男嫌犯Coble竟掏出一把老虎鉗！
店員眼見老虎鉗襲來，反應很快地將攻擊者壓倒在地。
Coble被打到昏迷，而22歲店員跑出去報警。
女嫌犯叫不醒男友，於是從收銀機抓了一把現金，就逃出店外。
Coble醒來後，也一擺一擺地走出商店。
幾天後，警方根據監視錄影畫面，認出Coble。
他被警方攔下時，正騎著腳踏車。於是他問警方：「我可不可以先把腳踏車還給女友，再跟你們走？」
「當然可以啊！」於是警方跟著他來到女友公寓，當下即認出女搶匪。
於是這兩名搶匪雙雙認罪，而被逮捕，保釋金為25萬美元現金。
這名店員當時一定早已預料會有突發狀況，隨時準備好應戰了。

A pair of cracked out thieves were busted for attempting to rob a Speedway in Ann Arbor, Michigan around 12:30 a.m. May 1.
Frederick Coble and his girlfriend Christina Maria Borcea were later arrested for the crime.
They told police that before the attempted robbery, they had been drinking and smoking crack.
They said they went to the gas station with the intention of stealing some smokes.
The clerk was in the cooler behind the register when the couple walked in. They commenced plundering the cancer stick collection. When the clerk came out and busted the party, they pretended like they were going to pay for them.
As the clerk was ringing up the cigs, Coble was playing with something in his pocket. It was a pair of plyers, which are not an accepted form of payment at Speedway.
The clerk saw the attack coming and tackled the man to the ground.
Coble was knocked out cold from the fall and the 22-year-old fled to call police.
Borcea was unsuccessful in waking up her boyfriend so she grabbed some cash from the register and got out of there.
Coble woke up moments later and stumbled out of the convenience store.
A few days later, police recognized Coble from the security video.
He was riding his bike when police spotted him, then asked police if he could return the bike to his girlfriend before being arrested.
"Well sure!" They accompanied him to the Arbor Landing Apartments where he introduced them to his girlfriend Ms. Borcea. Wait, where had they seen that face before? Oh yeah, the chick from the robbery.
They both confessed to the crime and are being held on $250,000 cash bonds.
The clerk must have known something was up and was literally prepared to throw down.
