Instagram上出現了許多帳號，專放留胳肢窩毛女性的照片。某些帳號已有超過五千名追隨者。
然而，這些照片也常遭到批評。例如有位用戶mapcab認為，留腋毛既難看，又沒好處。其他用戶則反駁，腋毛是很有用的，比方說，可以調節體溫。
這場論戰已在推特打得如火如荼了。有許多用戶，尤其是男性，都抱怨現在的女性不愛刮腋毛了。

A new year; a new slew of weird internet trends. And 2016’s first is taking Instagram by storm - women proudly baring their armpit hair for all the world.
Several Instagram accounts dedicated to showing pictures of women with armpit hair; some accounts have more than 5,000 followers.
Yet, the pictures are often met with criticism. For example, user @mapcab said keeping armpit hair is unattractive and has no benefit. Another user defended the armpit hair trend and said pit hair does useful stuff, like helping to regulate body temperature.
The debate has spilled over to Twitter, where many users -- mostly men -- have complained about women not shaving their armpits anymore.
We do not wish to take sides in this debate. But here’s a picture of Michelle Rodriguez showing off her armpit hair on a beach. Well, if a celebrity can get away with this, why can't non-celebrities let it grow?
