An Indianapolis man was arrested after he confessed to the fatal stabbing of a young boy in a small Kentucky town.
The Tipton Family was asleep in their Versailles, Kentucky home around 4 a.m. on Monday, when 32-year-old Ronald Exantus broke in.
Exantus lived roughly 175 miles away in Indianapolis. He grabbed a large kitchen knife and made his way to an upstairs bedroom. There, he stabbed 6-year-old Logan Tipton in the head.
Logan’s 11-year-old sister woke up and saw the attacker in the room. She threw herself at him and screamed for her father.
The father was able to subdue Exantus until police arrived.
Logan was stabbed multiple times in the head and died from his wounds. At least two other siblings were injured but did not require hospital treatment.
Exantus was charged with murder and first-degree burglary. Authorities are still looking for a motive in the killing.
