Belgian resident Abdelhamid Abaaoud is one of the men suspected to be the mastermind of the Paris attacks last Friday.
Twenty-seven-year-old Abdelhamid Abaaoud is said to be from the Molenbeek district of Brussels.
The son of a shopkeeper from Morocco, he reportedly joined the Islamic State in Syria in 2013, and became one of the most active Islamic State executioners.
Belgian media said he also recruited his own 14-year-old brother, making him one of the youngest fighters in the militant organization.
Abaaoud, who is thought to have supervised and funded the massacre in Paris, has been linked to at least one of the attackers.
A police operation was underway in Molenbeek this morning, while in France police conducted 168 raids overnight and placed 104 people under house arrest.
In the meantime, following French airstrikes in Syria on Sunday evening, the Islamic State warned in a new propaganda video that countries supporting France will share her fate.
