世人有各種千奇百怪的死法，但很少有人比她更慘。這位年輕貌美，來自夏威夷的美容師Chelsea Ake上週死於沙龍內。
24歲的Ake在內華達韓德森市（Henderson）一家美容沙龍Rejuvenice擔任店經理。她在店內低溫治療用的冷凍艙（cryo chamber）內，活活被凍死。目前，其確切死因仍是個謎。
調查人員目前只知道，Ake當晚獨自一人關店。
隨後她進入冷凍艙，而電源一直開著。
冷凍艙可用來治療肌肉痠痛與發炎，一般建議只能待在裡面約三分鐘。
但是Ake卻在冷凍艙內待了約十個小時，艙內溫度可低至華氏零下240度，也就是攝氏零下151度。
次日，一名同事在冷凍艙中發現Ake的屍體。
目前尚不清楚Ake是否意外將自己鎖在艙內，還是冷凍艙功能故障。警方表示Ake應是窒息而死，並將其死因列為「操作失誤」。

There are an infinite number of ways to die, but not many are more horrible than the manner in which young Hawaiian native Chelsea Ake died last week.
Ake, 24, froze to death in a tragic accident involving a cryo chamber at the Henderson, Nevada branch of Rejuvenice, where she was the manager. The exact circumstances of what caused her death are still a mystery, but what investigators do know is that Ake was alone after closing up the store for the night.
They also know that she then got into the machine for some reason and did not turn it off.
The recommended time inside a cryochamber, which is used to treat ailments including sore muscles and inflammation, is around three minutes.
But somehow Ake ended up spending around 10 hours inside the machine, where the temperature can reach as low as -240 degrees Fahrenheit.
One of her colleagues discovered her body inside the machine the next day.
Whether Ake accidentally locked herself inside the machine or it malfunctioned in some way is unknown, although a police report of the tragic incident stated Ake probably suffocated, and listed ‘operator error’ as the cause of death.
