An image showing the world's smallest airplane beside a Euro coin was presented 17 July 2008 by scientists at the Technical University of Delft near Hague. Resembling a dragonfly, the so-called DelFly Micro only weighs 3 grams and has a size of 10-cm long. It carries a camera and flies at a maximum speed of 18 kilometres per hour.
