get off the ground 起步
本俚語中的 get off 表「離開」,ground指「地面」。get off the ground 表某事「開始起步」或「進行順利」。
與 ground 相關的俚語還有:
˙hold one’s ground 不退縮,堅守立場
hold 表「守住」,ground 則指某人的「立足之地」,hold one’s ground 就有「守在原地,不退縮」之意,可引申為「捍衛自己的主張」。
例:She always holds her ground and refuses to compromise her style.(她總是堅持自己的創作風格,拒絕妥協。)

loaded a. 富有的(之後不可接名詞)
例:Richard is loaded. He owns six mansions.
